Description
After you have parked your car in Klundert, get on your bike to discover all the beauty that the area has to offer. During this versatile route you will pass several museums, such as the National Flaxery and Sugar Museum. Flax and sugar beet have been grown in the western corner of North Brabant for centuries. In the museum you will learn everything about life and work in the flax, sugar beets and sugar factories. Furthermore, you cycle past the Flood House-Museum Foundation. Here you will find a working-class family living after the flood disaster. The flood house houses a permanent exhibition about the Heijningen storm disaster and the entire municipality of Moerdijk. Via Fort de Hel and Helwijk you cycle through the polders back to Klundert.
