Bierderij Waterland

The first weekend of June 2018 is the opening weekend of Bierderij Waterland in Monnickendam. The organic brewers of, among others, the Marker Maagd (white beer) and the Monnicker Moker (Tripel) have taken an 800 square meter shed at the harbor of the old town into use as a brewery with tasting room. Various craft beers are brewed in the brewery and an explanation is given about the brewing process. There is ample opportunity to enjoy varied organic specialty beers inside the cozy shed or outside on the large terrace at the beautiful marina of Monnickendam. In addition to beer, Bierderij Waterland also offers space to Woeste Willem, a thoroughbred Monnickendam sausage maker and fish smoker. He makes the tastiest sausages, burgers and other meat and fish products in front of you. His meat is of course organic and comes from farms in the area. The coffee is also organic with a nice origin and is roasted in the shed. In short, a wonderful place to hangout.
