Description
This cross-border route takes you through Central Limburg and across the border to Belgian Limburg. You cycle through beautiful nature reserves that all belong to the Grenspark Kempen~Broek . Along the way, marvel at the specific flora, fauna and peculiarities that each nature reserve has and thoroughly enjoy the peaceful farm landscapes.
From agricultural area to nature
You start your cycling tour on the edge of the Vosseven near the church village of Stramproy. From here you cycle through various quiet areas on Dutch and Belgian territory, such as the Wijffelterbroek nature reserve, the Tungelerwallen, De Goort nature reserve and Stramprooierbroek nature reserve. Some of these areas were used as agricultural areas for a while and have now been transformed into nature reserves again. Keep your eyes open while cycling, because you can spot all kinds of animals here. Consider, for example, beavers and taurus, but also dragonflies and frogs. You will also pass a border marker dating from 1800 and historic mills along the way.

The Doodendraad is a special place for history lovers. The Germans installed this electrical wire during the First World War on the border of the Netherlands and Belgium. In this way they hoped to gain more control over Belgium. At the time, a lot of smuggling took place along this line of death, such as food, clothing, seeds and even people.
