Natuurgebied De Goort

At the beginning of 2000, major works were carried out to make the Goort walking area more attractive for recreationists. It is now a widely used hiking and jogging forest. At the end of 1800 there were open fields here with small, scattered bushes. In the course of the twentieth century the fields were planted with poplars. The existing rectangular fish pond was also recently transformed into a natural pool that is more attractive to dragonflies, frogs and salamanders.
