Cycling around the Beeckestijn estate

Take a nice bike ride along the edge of the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park through the municipality of Velsen and enjoy the country estates and other beautiful areas that can be found here. You start at the Pontplein car park (Velsen Zuid) and then cycle to the beautiful Duin & Kruidberg estate. On this estate you will find two historic country houses and beautiful gardens that are laid out in the English style. Especially the transitions from the open landscape by the sea to the oak forests of the estate here are beautiful to see. A little further on you can take a look at the Ruins of Brederode. You then continue cycling to Fort Bezuiden Spaarndam. Afterwards you can visit the garden in English landscape style.
