Striking national monuments
Noordwijkerhout has a number of beautiful national monuments within its borders. The most striking is the former Sint Bavo on the Langevelderweg. The main building from 1914 looks more like a chic country house than a psychiatric institution. At the end of your tour you can admire the striking town hall from 1930, which was built in the style of the Delft School. In the west facade, just behind the landing, you can still see the small barred windows of the former detention cells.
Along Lake Como
Just outside the village you can quickly walk along the green zone of Lake Como, as the Oosterduinse Meer recreational area is called by the locals. On the other side of the water you can see the bulb fields. In the season you will find a beautiful range of intense colors here. Taking 10,000 steps together
Japanese doctor Yoshiro Hatano researched how many steps you should take each day to stay healthy. He came up with a number of about 10,000 steps. This route, just like the routes 316776 and 316781, has been specially developed to let you take 10,000 steps in a fun way. You can of course walk these trails alone if you want, or with a few friends. But if you want to know more about how to lose weight responsibly, take a guided 10,000-step walk on a Saturday. Lifestyle coach Marjoleine Klapwijk then gives tips and advice for a healthy lifestyle while walking. She has developed a method to adjust your lifestyle, so that you lose about 10 to 15 percent weight - permanently!
