Explore the green landscape east of the IJssel river between Deventer and Zutphen by bike. This route takes you across the floodplains of the IJssel, through rural areas full of green meadows and agricultural fields and through the cities of Zutphen and Deventer.
Through rural areas to Zutphen and Deventer
The start and end point of this route is located a little way outside Deventer in a parking lot. From here you cycle to Laren. On the outskirts of Laren you can visit the De Braoke vineyard. Take a tour of this 1-hectare vineyard or stock up on a few nice bottles of wine. The route then takes you for miles along meadows in the direction of Zutphen. Along the way you will pass the Warkense Mill from 1878. You will cycle through the pleasant center of Zutphen where you can admire the historic buildings and then cycle via Gorssel to Deventer.
