Description

There is plenty to do on this short route! You ride your legs in the rural area of Maashees. In Smakt you pass the Sint-Jozefkapel from 1699. Further on you drive through the vast forest of the Geysteren estate. Wonderful, that fresh forest air! In the middle of the forest you will pass the Gothic St. Willibrordus Chapel from 1543. What a beautiful spot! Further on is the Rosmolen. This watermill was built in 1667 and is still used to grind grain. You cycle to Wanssum via Oostrum. Time for a pit stop, you are welcome on the cozy terrace at Cafe van Wieren. Just outside Geysteren you cycle past the restored ruins of Geysteren Castle. A little further on you pass a listening point from the Liberation Route. You cycle to the end point via Maashees.
