Description

This cycle route takes you through Oldenzaal and De Lutte, places that have benefited enormously from the industrial revolution. Admire beautiful estates, textile villas and the pleasant centre of Oldenzaal. Your route starts at Restaurant Klein Afrika. From here you cycle a bit through the natural beauty of the Het Hulsbeek recreation area. Back in Oldenzaal you pass villas and estates of the former textile barons. Real gems to see, such as Villa de Haer from 1881, Villa de Hulst and Villa Egheria. It feels like you are cycling in the nineteenth and early twentieth century! You also cycle through the Dinkel valley. In the Lutterzand you will find a mix of sand drifts and forests with birch and oak trees.
