Landhuis De Haer
Villa de Haer is a block-shaped building with eclectic shapes: different architectural styles go together. The villa was built in 1881 by architect Jacobus Moll for Christiaan Maurits Gelderman on behalf of a textile manufacturer. A renovation followed in 1927, probably after a design by architect Andries de Maaker. The park was redesigned in 1920-1921 by landscape architect Pieter Hermannus Wattez. The pond has the shape of a stitch (The Napoleon's hat). At Villa de Haer is a giant sequoia from 1880, 32.80 meters high! The estate is a popular photo spot. The Koetshuis (Haerstraat 110) was built at the same time as the villa.
