Description
The route starts at Meerfietsen VOF in Nieuw-Vennep. Cycling through the Bollenstreek never gets boring. In addition to beautifully colored fields, you will find a varied landscape of dunes, grasslands and forests. There are also many sights to be found. Along the way you will pass several of these beautiful places, such as Kasteel Het Huys Dever in Lisse. Dever was built at the end of the 14th century. It is a so-called residential tower or donjon, a fortified house. There were many like this in the coastal region, but Dever is the only one that still stands. The tower is round with a flat back at the place where there was no danger. The white church in Noordwijkerhout is also beautiful, it dates from 1300. Also take a break along the way at one of the picking gardens that you cycle past!
