Description
This cycling route starts at Park Berkenrhode. First you drive to the Wekeromse Zand, where you will find actively drifting sand. It is a historic area: at the Vijfsprong, where you cycle past, you will see P02 - Celtic Fields, reconstructions of centuries-old fields measuring 40 by 40 meters. You will also find a reconstructed farm and storehouse or warehouse from the Iron Age. A viewing platform offers a beautiful view of the entire complex. Then you drive straight through the forests for which the Veluwe is known. In the middle of the forest area you will discover the Mosselse Veld: an open area of grass and heath at the foot of the Valenberg. A little further on you pass through the hamlet of Mossel and the beautiful nature reserve Planken Wambuis. Enjoy a terrace in Otterlo before you cycle back!
