The Germanic Well is a several meters deep pit from which the farmers in the Iron Age drew water from the area for their own use, for livestock and perhaps also for crops. A hollow tree trunk was dug into the hole to make it easier to dig. By counting the annual rings of the trunk, the so-called dendrochronological examination, the well can be found at 300 BC. be dated. The Germanic well has now been cleaned up and reconstructed with a new oak well edge.
