P02 - Celtic Fields
Visit the website
The Wekeromse Zand near Ede was already inhabited in the Iron Age. This area is home to the largest Celtic fields complex in our country. Celtic fields are prehistoric fields consisting of fields of approximately 40 x 40 meters, surrounded by walls. Viewed from the air, Celtic fields look like a honeycomb. They belong to an agricultural system that was used all over northwestern Europe, from Sweden to Ireland.
