The BlueNet line between Kampen and Enschede is a train route that cuts right through Overijssel. This multi-day cycling route, nearly 245 kilometers long, passes through major cities like Zwolle, Almelo, and Hengelo, and also passes historic villages. And don't forget: you'll cycle through the beautiful and diverse nature Overijssel has to offer!

Sallandse Heuvelrug
The route starts on the outskirts of Kampen. First, you'll travel along quiet lanes through the centuries-old Mastenbroek polder. It won't be hard to leave your daily routine behind! Next, you'll visit the beautiful city of Hasselt, ride through the forest on the Agnietenberg, and enjoy the lively atmosphere and cultural history of Zwolle. You can get a breath of fresh air along the IJssel River before heading to the rolling Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park.

Historic Hengelo
Further on, two beautiful, diverse nature reserves await you: the vastness of the Wierdense Veld and the intimate landscape of the Reggedal Valley. What they both have in common: tranquility! In Almelo, you'll see several beautiful historic buildings before cycling through the wooded Twickel Estate to Hengelo. You'll pass through Tuindorp 't Lansink, a picturesque old neighborhood. In the city center, you'll enjoy a meal at the Leonardo Hotel Hengelo City Center before starting the final kilometers to Enschede.
