Description
With the VSM museum steam train from Apeldoorn to Dieren. Bicycles may be taken on the train on Tues-Wed-Thurs in July and August. See the blue train rides and departure times on the website. From July 10 to August 23. The costs (if I have been informed correctly) are 19 euros for a single ticket + bicycle. The day cycling starts at the VSM in Dieren, RA cross the railway barriers towards route point 90. On the way to 90 LA the Hogestr over the 1) Bridge to de Vrijheid (2nd World War) keep R to 2) the Gelderse Tower. Via the Overweg 6956AG, direct route point 93.
You will encounter the following sights in this order: 1) Bridge to Freedom -2) Gelderse Toren -3) Engelenburg Castle -4) Eerbeek Country House -5) Loenen Middelste Watermolen -6) VSM Loenen -7) Ter Horst Castle -8) Eetcafe't Ruifje in Loenen -9) Loenense Waterval -10) VSM Immenberg-11) VSM Beekbergen -12) VSM Steam Train Museum.
Note: You can avoid a climb to a height of 50 meters by turning RA onto Beekbergerweg in Loenen. You then skip route points 87 and 28, making the route slightly shorter. After about 2km RA, just before the parking lot of the waterfall, go to junction 51, you will then pass the Loenense waterfall.
