Highlights of the Lunterse Buurtbos

Your route starts at Brasserie VRZGRD. This route takes you into the Lunterse Buurtbos. Every now and then the path undulates, which makes your views and your walk just that little bit more exciting. You will pass a number of special places on and around the Goudsberg. Since the summer of 2017, a Timeline staircase has been running from De Grote Zandgroeve to the Goudsberg. On top of the Goudsberg is the Hessenhut lookout tower. The Hessenweg, an old trade route from Germany, runs across the hill. The design with the round shape and spokes is reminiscent of the Hessen wagons of that time. You follow the road to Meulunteren, on the edge of the Gelderse Vallei and the forests of the Veluwe. The Koepel is your last lookout tower of the day, where the binoculars are ready for you.
