On the way over the Meulunterenpad

Take a walk on the Meulunterenpad and discover the beautiful countryside of Lunteren and all the sights you will find here. This 15-kilometer route takes you along old sandy paths, along forests and fields on the flanks of the Veluwe and past historical sights that tell you more about the fascinating history of this area. The route is signposted in two directions with green markers in the shape of a clog.

The treasures around the Goudsberg
The starting point of this route is in Lunteren. From here you walk through the Luntersche Buurtbosch to the lookout tower De Koepel. Climb this tower to enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding area. In the dome you can learn about people who inhabited this area centuries ago. Then you set course for De Grote Zandgroeve where sand and gravel were extracted for centuries. A little further on you will find a historic Germanic Put and more than a kilometer away is the Geographical Center of the Netherlands. You can recognize this place by the steel rings that have been placed here around three boulders from the Ice Age.

Watchtower De Hessenhut
Then you walk back in the direction of Lunteren through the woods. On the way you will pass De Hessenhut lookout tower. Also climb this watchtower to view the other side of this area from a great height.
