In the Middle Ages, the castle consisted of a square stone residential tower, the foundations of which are still under the current building. The Kinkelenburg was converted into a stately mansion in the 18th century. In the Second World War, the municipal council moved in, it was then the only surviving house in the village with a watertight roof. You walk along the Bemmelerwaard to Landgoed Doornik, a place full of cultural history in the woods of Park Lingezegen.
