The entire Heuvelrug (part 3) - From Soest to Rhenen (with approach route from Odijk)

Part 3 The entire Heuvelrug.

Approach route Odijk -Soest: from Odijk to Station Driebergen-Zeist and then via the cycle bridge (over the Hoofdstraat) to the Beerschoten-Willinkshof country estate. Follow the cycle path through the park to the Arnhemse Bovenweg and go from here towards Driebergen to junction 96. Take the cycle path parallel to the A12 to junction 16. Follow the Traayweg in a northerly direction via junction 3 to junction 2. Cross the Zeisterweg and turn left via junction 1 and junction 83 to junction 54 in Soesterberg. Along the A28 to junction 52, here in a northerly direction towards Soest. Cross the Amersfoortseweg, turn right briefly and then turn left into the van Weerden Poelmanweg. Continue following this cycle path until a paved road to the left (Heezerspoor west side). Turn left here and at the end of the road turn right onto the Paltzerweg. At junction 56 we connect to Part 2 of Heel de Heuvelrug.

Part 3: Now to junction 57 and then to junctions 58, 59 and 60 (through the Lange and Korte Soesterduinen and through Landgoed De Birkt). Past the entrance to Dierenpark Amersfoort, briefly left and then right onto Daam Fokkemalaan. Cross at the traffic lights to Prins Frederiklaan. Take the first road on the right and then the first road on the right (Belgenlaan). Pass the Belgenmonument to Utrechtseweg, the Stichtse roundabout into Surinamelaan. Take the first cycle path on the left into the forest here. Follow the cycle path, cross Surinamelaan and then also cross Kapelweg. Via Borneoplein, Pasteurstraat, Robert Kochstraat, Einsteinstraat and Kamerlingh Onnestraat. On the square, turn right and follow the separate cycle path that goes into the forest. This ends at Paradijsweg; here turn right in a southerly direction. Via the cycle bridge over the A28 to junction 80. Via junction 51 (het Hazewater) and junction 95 to junction 94 (Landgoed Den Treek). Now in an easterly direction via junction 13 to junction 86 (at the Valleikanaal). Turn right onto the cycle path along the canal (reinforcements of the Grebbelinie), via junction 87 to junction 84. Turn right in a westerly direction via junctions 85 and 89 in the direction of Maarn. Cross the Maarsbergseweg (shortly to the right and then left again) and enter the Ringelpoelweg. At P 22791 turn right into Brummelsbergen and then left (at P20909) into the Dwarsweg. At P22779 turn left (Schapendrift) to Maarn. In Maarn straight on into the Bakkersweg. At Tuindorpweg straight on through the cycle tunnel under the A12. Turn left into Buurtsteeg; turns into a cycle path. At the end (Maarnse Grindweg) turn left and then right onto Woudenbergseweg towards Leersum. After 1 km turn left into Scherpenzeelseweg and after 1.5 km turn right into Altena (turns into Haarweg). At the end turn right onto Heulweg. In the bend keep right along the farm onto the cycle path (Leersumseveld) to junction 71 and then via junction 12 (P22414) turn left (Utrechtse Baan) to junction 68 (P62874). Here turn left onto Scherpenzeelseweg and via junction 67 to junction 66 (Overberg).

Turn right to junction 20; turn right onto the cycle path towards Egelmeer. At P22829 turn left towards Veenendaal. Via junction 43 and junction 85 to junction 39. Here turn left onto the Oude Veensegrindweg towards Rhenen. Turn right onto the Nieuwe Veenendaalseweg and then left onto the Bergweg. At the end, cross the provincial road (Lijnweg) and continue to follow Bergweg (keep right). Turn right onto the Boslandweg. Turns into Kastanjelaan. At the end of Kastanjelaan is Rhenen Station. Here you can catch the train back to Driebergen/Zeist - Odijk.
