Whole of the Heuvelrug (part 3) - From Soest to Rhenen (with approach route from Odijk)

Part 3 All of the Heuvelrug.

Approach route Odijk - Soest: from Odijk to Station Driebergen-Zeist and then via the bicycle bridge (over the Hoofdstraat) to the Beerschoten-Willinkshof country estate. Follow the cycle path through the park to the Arnhemse Bovenweg and turn towards Driebergen to junction 96. Take the cycle path parallel to the A12 to junction 16. Follow the Traayweg north via junction 3 to junction 2. Cross the Zeisterweg and turn left via node 1 and node 83 to node 54 in Soesterberg. Along the A28 to junction 52, here in a northerly direction towards Soest. Cross the Amersfoortseweg, turn right for a short while and then turn left into the van Weerden Poelmanweg. Keep following this cycle path until a paved road to the left (Heezerspoor west side). Turn left here and at the end of the road turn right onto the Paltzerweg. At junction 56 we connect to Part 2 of Heel de Heuvelrug.

Part 3: Now to junction 57 and then to junction 58, 59 and 60 (through the Lange and Korte Soesterduinen and through Landgoed De Birkt). Pass before the entrance of Dierenpark Amersfoort, briefly left and then right onto the Daam Fokkemalaan. At the traffic lights cross onto the Prins Frederiklaan . Take the first road on the right and then the first road on the right again (Belgenlaan). Past the Belgian Monument to the Utrechtseweg, the Stichtse roundabout into the Surinamelaan. Take the first cycle path on the left into the woods. Follow the cycle path, cross Surinamelaan and then also cross Kapelweg. Via Borneoplein, Pasteurstraat, Robert Kochstraat, Einsteinstraat and Kamerlingh Onnestraat. Turn right on the square and follow the separate cycle path that goes into the woods. This leads to the Paradijsweg; turn right here in a southerly direction. Via the bicycle bridge over the A28 to junction 80. Via junction 51 (het Hazewater) and junction 95 to junction 94 (Landgoed Den Treek). Now in an easterly direction via junction 13 to junction 86 (on the Valley Canal). Turn right onto the cycle path along the canal (reinforcements of the Grebbelinie), via junction 87 to junction 84. Turn right in a westerly direction via junctions 85 and 89 in the direction of Maarn. Cross the Maarsbergseweg (just to the right and then left again) and into the Ringelpoelweg. At P22791 turn right into Brummelsbergen and then left (at P20909) into Dwarsweg. At P22779 turn left (Schapendrift) to Maarn. In Maarn straight ahead into the Bakkersweg. At Tuindorpweg go straight through the bicycle tunnel under the A12. Turn left into the Buursteeg; turns into bike path. At the end (Maarnse Grindweg) turn left and then right onto the Woudenbergseweg in the direction of Leersum. After 1 km turn left into the Scherpenzeelseweg and after 1.5 km turn right into the Altena (changes into the Haarweg). At the end turn right onto the Heulweg. Keep right in the bend past the farm onto the cycle path (Leersumseveld) to junction 71 and then left via junction 12 (P22414) (Utrechtse Baan) to junction 68 (P62874). Turn left here onto the Scherpenzeelseweg and via junction 67 to junction 66 (Overberg).

Turn right to Junction 20; turn right cycle path towards the Egelmeer. At P22829 turn left towards Veenendaal. Via junction 43 and junction 85 to junction 39. Turn left here into the Oude Veensegrindweg to Rhenen. Turn right onto the Nieuwe Veenendaalseweg and then left onto the Bergweg. At the end cross the provincial road (Lijnweg) and continue to follow Bergweg (keep right). Turn right into the Boslandweg. Turns into Kastanjelaan. At the end of Kastanjelaan is Station Rhenen. Here the train back to Driebergen/Zeist - Odijk.
