Zuiderzee island route

This cycling route takes you through Schokland and Urk and you also visit the unique museum village of Nagele. A perfect combination of cultural history and nature, resulting in a surprising cycling tour. The starting point of this cycle route is at Museum Schokland. Here you can learn more about the history of the area. Schokland has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1995. After cycling for more than 18 kilometers you arrive in Urk. This place is a lively and characteristic fishing village where the island feeling can still be experienced. Here you can take a look at, among other things, the Urk Lighthouse. Then you cycle further through Noordoostpolder to the end point at Museum Schokland. Stop off at Restaurant De Kaap for a delicious lunch.
