Spotting windmills on Goeree-Overflakkee

Goeree-Overflakkee is an ideal cycling area. You drive through polders and along the banks of some larger bodies of water. You can also spot many windmills there.

Den Bommel
The route starts nearby at the Korenaar, a beautiful corn mill from 1746. From the Zeedijk you look out over the Haringvliet, and in the distance is the nature island of Tiengemeten. You drive past De Bommelaer from 1738. There is a charming old church in Den Bommel.

Achthuizen
In the village of Achthuizen you can admire the Windlust, dating from 1852. You drive past the bird-rich Krammerse Slikken and the Volkerak. In Oude-Tonge you pass the Korenbloem: a beautiful corn mill from 1748. After enjoying the view over the Grevelingenmeer, in Nieuwe-Tonge you pass the d\\\'Oranjeboom mill from 1768. Then you cycle through the beautiful Middelharnis . Here too there is an old mill called De Korenbloem. You drive back to the starting point along the Haringvliet.
