City walk Edam: to the Cheese Market

The fifteenth-century Grote Kerk is the largest hall church in the Netherlands. You will also pass the Cheese Market, where cheese is still traded every Wednesday morning in the summer. Under the supervision of the market master, the North-Western Edam cheese is brought in by boat or horse and cart. The old Speeltoren now houses a museum.
