Along the windmills in Kasterlee and Arendonk

1. With the car park (V) next to Heemerf Waaiberg (1) on your left, you cycle to junction 88. Turn right, direction 87. You cycle past a few catering establishments and the water mill (2) of Kasterlee, cross the Kleine Nete and come at junction 87. Cycle left into Hinnikensberg, direction 26. At the T turn right and before the Hinnekesbergloop turn left to junction 26. Turn left, direction 27. Cross the Kleine Nete via the Terlobrug, ignore side roads, until the N123, with the Beermolen (3) on the left. Turn right and opposite café De Witte Molen turn left. Take the right-hand road, cycle past the Dungenenhoef, cross the Rode Loop and continue pedaling to the fork. Turn right, past't Straeleynd Schoor and Straeleyndhoeve to junction 27. Turn right, direction 9. Cross the Wamp and at the next intersection turn left into the hamlet of Hoeven. At the fork, keep right, back into the open countryside. Through a forest, then over the Looieindse Nete and past In de Hut and de Boshoeve to junction 91 on the N123. Cross over and cycle past a blue and white chapel over the Nerendijk, direction 92. At the end, follow the Ponfortsedijk to the right. Cross the Klein Neetje and keep following the Pontfortsedijk straight ahead at the square with the antique signpost at Klein Kwaaf. At the fork, leave Kleineduinberg on your right and cycle through the forest to junction 92. You can cycle 500 m to the right before the Watermill (4) of Retie. From Nete to Nete Turn left, direction 42. At the fork, keep right. Along't Weens Vliet,'t Groen Dal, a triangular chapel and right into the Wildeman. Cross the N118 and continue cycling through Bosend. Take the Zandstraat on the right and cross the Zwarte Nete via the Dom bridge. You arrive at the N18. Cross over and cycle next to the chapel of O.-L.-V. terSneeuw (5) (1665) Werbeek. At the fork, leave the Vrijbroekstraat on the left and cycle past a triangular square. Ignore the Desselsedijk on the right and cycle past the next triangular square. Leave the Werboekhoeve on the right and cycle on to junction 42. Leave another small square on the right here and follow direction 41, across Hodonk and past café Hanenberg to the N123. Cross over and cycle into Dwarsstraat next to a chapel. At the end turn right, through the Noordstraat to the T. Follow the Langedijk to the left, cross a junction and the Kleine Nete and follow the asphalt to the left. At junction 41 straight on, direction 40. At the fork right and immediately left. Follow Hanenberg until the N118. Turn left, past Fitnesscenter Superfit and immediately right into Obroek. On the square with 6 trees, keep right and follow Huisjes. Cross the Looieindse Nete and bend to the left. Go straight on at the four-fork and turn left at the T. Cross the Looieindse Nete again, ignore side roads and turn right at the four-fork. Windmill De Heerser beckons to the left between the houses. After the Chapel of Berg you will arrive at junction 40. Turn right, direction 39. Along the canal Dessel-Schoten Cross the Looieindse Nete one last time and take the first road on the right, towards the highway. Turn left on the T, direction Schoonbroek. At the next fork, follow Hoekstraat to the right until junction 39. Turn right into Den Hoek, direction 65. Cross the highway and cycle straight on at junction 65, direction 66, through a grove and turn left at the fork. At the T turn right and then left into a narrow concrete road, to the end and then right. On the T is a sign explaining wind farm Zephiros. Turn left to junction 66 and then direction 67. Cross the N118 and take the Hoge Mauw dead end on the left. NB! On the right it is also called Hoge Mauw, with heavy traffic. The road runs next to the Hoge Mauw industrial zone and will be made car-free with two large sewer pipes. Go straight on at the fork. After a left-right bend, you ignore a road on the left and cycle straight ahead until you reach the T with the Berendonkapel on the left. Turn right. At the end turn left Nerbiezen and immediately after that right into the Watering. Turn left on the T, also Watering. Turn right at the first crossroads. Cross the Dessel-Schoten canal to junction 67, with Ravago Plastics on the left. Cycle to the canal and follow it to the right until junction 59. Turn right, direction 6. Cross bridge 5 and go down the first street on the right. Cycle along the canal and where the asphalt ends turn left into Hazegewoud, away from the canal. On the left, the tower of the church of the Voorheide is separate from the church building. Turn right into the Peerdskerkhofstraat and at the end turn left. Don't mind side roads, cycle to the chapel of the Wampenberg and turn right into Hokken. Past the snack bar Den Draai and the Toremans mill peeps to the left between the houses. Past the café Geen Fain idea, the name of the street changes to Schutterstraat. Turn right into Grotstraat, ignore side streets and cycle past the Heikantkapel (on top of a Lourdes grotto). On the T with right in front of your café Den Heikant, turn left and follow the N118. 400 m further right into the Reenstraat. After a right-left nod you continue on the Heirbaan, out of Arendonk. Ignore side streets and the signs announcing that the Heirbaan is a dead end ahead. To De Liereman After more than 3 km you cycle between 3 concrete columns into the Bergstraat. Turn right at junction 61 and immediately left afterwards, direction 62 on a cycle path next to a wide dirt road. On the right is the Hoge Mierdse Heide and behind it nature reserve De Liereman. Cycle past the De Liereman visitor center (6) to KP 62. Follow Schuurhovenberg to the left, direction 64. Turn left at the T. At the fork, keep left twice and cycle through Draaiboom, past Hey Bloem. Cross Brooseinde and follow the Begijnhoefstraat past more than spacious houses. At the end, follow the Oude-Arendonksebaan to the right. Then turn into the second street on the left. Follow the Witte Bremlaan past a triangular square and a roundabout until you reach the N18. Cross over and turn left just before the church of Zwaneven and then turn right. Where Staprijk ends, continue on a slow road to Schoutenhoefstraat. Turn right. Ignore a street on the left and turn left at the fork. Follow Lage Darisdonk to the left, cross the highway and continue cycling over Hoge Darisdonk. Do not worry about side roads and cycle past the Dries Hoeve, the Heyns hof and the Corsendonks Hof tavern (7) to junction 64 at the Corsendonk priory. Turn right, direction 28, through the hamlet of Vorsel, past orchards and fields. Turn right at junction 28, direction 89. Then turn right into Schepens, cross the Rode Loop and turn left at the T, now in the hamlet of Kluis. After't Schaepershuis (1443) (8) turn right into Haagscheuten. Ignore all side roads until you reach the T. Turn left and at junction 89 turn left again, direction 34, past the Lindehoeve and left at a small stake chapel into Mosten. The Mosten change into the Boekweitbaan. At junction 34 straight on, direction 88, past side roads, until the N123. Cross over and continue cycling through De Maneschijn. You cycle past a water tower, cross a junction with a chapel and arrive in the hamlet of Houtem. Go straight on to junction 88 and turn right to the car park.
