Description
The Vecht winds its way through the beautiful landscape and passes picturesque villages, estates, forests and heathland. A landscape in which bygone times have been preserved, where you can still find plenty of space and peace. This route leads you past castles and estates, embedded in beautiful nature. Stellingmolen de Konijnenbelt is an oil and peeling mill that was built in 1806 by Hendrik Konijnenbelt. A special building in Ommen is Het Laer. It used to be a castle, you can still see the canals and the wooded area that were supposed to enhance the castle. Near the town of Rechten is the castle of the same name, the only medieval castle that has been preserved in Overijssel. Get off nearby at Restaurant De Witte Gans!
