Your route starts at Camping De Kleine Wolf & brasserie De Wolventuin. The valley through which the winding Vecht winds its way is a beautiful landscape in which picturesque villages, extensive estates, dense forests and vast heathlands stretch out. The old Hanseatic city of Ommen has a rich history and the center is buzzing with life and conviviality. Visit the Konijnenbelt tower mill, an oil and peeling mill built in 1806, or the beautiful Eerde estate and castle. The castle first appears in writing in the thirteenth century, but at that time it was still known as the House of Eerde. The castle took its current shape around 1715. In the same century, a park was built around the castle in the popular English landscape style.
