Description
This version of the Oeverlandroute crosses almost the entire Netherlands. On this tour you cycle along important historical waterways from Dutch history. Along the way you come across one sight after another. The route starts in the Schoorlse Duinen. What follows is one historical place after another. You will pass through the old city centres of Amsterdam, Utrecht, 's-Hertogenbosch and Maastricht. In the smaller ones the atmosphere of times gone by is clearly felt. While cycling you will see centuries-old farms, castles, Dutch polder mills and country estates on the Vecht. In the Maas valley you cross the border with Belgium for a while, you will then come across the beautiful centuries-old Market of Maaseik. The route ends just outside Maastricht. A unique view of the history of the Netherlands!
