At Petten and Groet through the dunes

Your route starts at Bolletjescafé de Klok. You cycle straight through the Schoorlse Duinen and the charming villages of Schoorl and Groet to Beach House Petten. The Pettemerduinen are also worth a visit: you hear the surf of the North Sea on one side and see the vast, colorful bulb fields on the other. The area is varied, groves that provide shelter are located in the heathlands, where rabbits, foxes and stoats find their way and Galloway cattle stroll around at leisure. At't Zand you cycle past the De Hoop mill (hull/remains). The mill was probably built in the seventeenth century as an oil mill, but was converted into a flour mill in 1913. The remaining mill hull has monument status and has a new roof.
