De Hoop (romp/restant)

The mill was probably built around 1630 for the weaving and textile industry near the city of Leiden. Placed in 't Zand in 1865 and until 1920 the mill was used to grind corn using wind power and then a diesel engine was installed. In 2013 the monumental mill moved to its current location.
