The route starts in the village of Winkel. You will immediately see the Regthuis, a former town hall from 1599. Further on you will drive through Nieuwe Niedorp, where you will see a few beautiful monumental buildings and a separate church tower from the fifteenth century. In Schoorldam you then cycle onto the West Frisian Omringdijk, the only monumental dike in the world. As you drive along the winding path, you have a beautiful view of the grasslands and farmhouses. In the heart of Schagen you can admire some beautiful seventeenth-century buildings. You can also see the striking neo-Gothic Christoforus Church from 1883. Further on you drive over the West Frisian Omringdijk one more time. Get a breath of fresh air before you drive back to Winkel!
