Castle
Kasteel Wijchen
Wijchen Castle was built in the 14th century. Today the building is partly used as a town hall and as a museum of archeology, contemporary art and regional history. Wijchen Castle is located in the east of Gelderland, near Nijmegen, and is without a doubt a grand and imposing building. This beautiful castle, with a picturesque and serene landscape as a backdrop, was built and renovated by order of the daughter of William of Orange, Emilia of Nassau. Today this educational castle museum is open to the public.
