Description
This short walking route of less than 10 kilometers takes you past the most beautiful buildings around Wedde and Veelerveen in Groningen.
Beautiful buildings
During this route you will pass a number of beautiful buildings. One of those buildings is Koeweg Castle - Vriescheloo. The building was commissioned by Bram Boekestijn. It is a modern house built according to the example of old castles. A little later you walk past Kasteel Pastorielaan 4 - Vriescheloo. It seems as if the sun always shines here, partly due to the warm Mediterranean appearance of this stately country house. The plastered center section with the covered entrance framed by pillars is flanked by side aisles made of apple blossom-colored cloisters. The outbuildings were also built with the same monastery jokes. The location of this country house is idyllic.
Quiet environment
The landscape you walk through is relaxing. Even though this walk is less than 10 kilometers long, during this route you will get a breath of fresh air and completely relax in the beautiful Groningen landscape.
