Brasserie Abshoven

Abshoven 35
6151 GC Munstergeleen

Eating in an old church may sound a bit crazy, but it is actually very special and surprising. Experience it for yourself at brasserie Abshoven on the outskirts of Munstergeleen. This church is the only remnant of a monastic complex that stood empty for years. The old elements of the church are beautifully combined with cozy furniture in this brasserie. This creates a special and cozy atmosphere. Enjoy a nice cup of coffee, a beer or something delicious from the kitchen. How about a piece of homemade pie, soup, sandwiches, salads or a hot meal for dinner? That will certainly taste after a good bike ride or a walk. When the weather is nice, you can settle down on the terrace behind the church. You can enjoy a snack and a drink on the terrace with a view of the Absbroekbos. The terrace is sheltered by a piece of ruins that remains from the monastery.

Gasterij Kasteel Terborgh

Gasterij Kasteel Terborgh is hidden in the Geleenbeek valley: a relatively unknown, but absolutely beautiful nature reserve. Reason enough to grab your bike or walking shoes and explore here. At Gasterij Kasteel Terborgh you can warm up on a cold day or drink a cool drink in the summer. Take a seat on the terrace or inside the atmospheric guest house and enjoy sandwiches, salads, soups, tapas snacks and typical Limburg dishes such as sour meat, black pudding and asparagus. Drinking a cup of coffee with a piece of pie is of course also possible.
