The Pronkjewailpad through North Groningen

If you like long-distance routes, you will of course know the Pieterpad. But did you know that you can also explore the province of Groningen with the Pronkjewailpad? Along the way you will find plenty of nice places to stay.

Lauwersmeer
A walking tour of more than 250 kilometers that introduces you to the peace and natural beauty in the province of Groningen. For example, you walk through De Marne. In this vast region you pass through Pieterburen. Then you walk through National Park Lauwersmeer. Then you walk through polders again. Enjoy the peace and the rich cultural history in old villages.

Martini Tower
Of course you also walk through Groningen city. In the charming and beautiful old center you can see, among other things, the Martini Tower. The Gold Office and the town hall are also well-known sights. The Dannemeer is a relatively new unspoilt nature reserve in the Slochteren region. Here you see a mosaic of reed, sedge, swamp forests and open water. Further on you walk along the Schildmeer and through Delfzijl.
