Discover the Gerrit Achterbergpad and the Overlangbroeksepad

North of Wijk bij Duurstede you can enjoy a lovely walk on the Gerrit Achterbergpad and the Overlangbroeksepad. You walk on farm roads that take you across the Sandenburg estate, through forests and along the edge of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. You will also pass many beautiful sights. Fancy a cup of coffee or a meal before you hit the road? Then settle down at De Veldpoort Food and Drink at the start of the route and then hit the road when you're ready. You walk in the footsteps of the poet Gerrit Achterberg, after whom the path is named. Along the way you will successively pass the Zuilenburg country house, the remains of Groenestein castle, the Walenburg, Darthuizen country house and Parc Broekhuizen. Large parts of this tour are marked with a clog-shaped marker.
