Multi-day train walk Kampen - Enschede

The blue net line between Kampen and Enschede is a train connection right through Overijssel. This multi-day walking route of almost 220 kilometers goes through large cities such as Zwolle, Almelo and Hengelo, you also pass historical villages. And not to forget: you walk through the beautiful and versatile nature that Overijssel has to offer! This walking route is divided into nine sub-routes. Choose one or more stages or follow the entire route and make it a walking holiday.

Hanseatic city Zwolle
The route starts at the edge of Kampen. Along the banks of the IJssel it is then lovely to walk. Get some fresh air and leave the everyday routine behind you! At Theehuis Zalkerveer you can enjoy a break, before you walk to the historical heart of Zwolle. In Salland you will see several old manors. In Kasteel Het Nijenhuis museum de Fundatie is located. After Raalte you walk through the rolling National Park de Sallandse Heuvelrug.

Historical Almelo
Further on, two beautiful nature reserves await you: the vastness of the Wierdense Veld and the small-scale landscape in the Reggedal. What they both have in common: peace! In between, you are welcome for a refreshing pit stop on the cozy terrace of Koffieschenkerij De Piet. In Almelo, you will see several beautiful monumental buildings, before you walk through the wooded Landgoed Twickel to Hengelo. You will pass through Tuindorp't Lansink, a picturesque old district. The last kilometers take you through Enschede.
