During this multi-day walk of over 168 kilometers you walk from Enschede train station to Emmen-Zuid train station. A great walk through Overijssel and Drenthe along beautiful sights and through the relaxing nature.
From Enschede to Almelo
This multi-day walk starts at Enschede station. From here you walk towards Hengelo through the beautiful nature and through small villages. The next destination is Borne. You walk along Tuindorp't Lansink in Hengelo, but also along De Noordmolen in Hof van Twente. Have a rest at Grand Café De Steeg in Borne and then continue to Almelo.
From Almelo to Emmen
At Blue Berry Nursery"De Greftenhoeve\\\" you can pick your own berries and enjoy coffee with berry pie at the farm. You will also pass Asparagus Farm Het Nijenhuis, where you can get fresh asparagus and other regional products during the season. Another beautiful sight is the Oemolle in Hardenberg and Molen De Arend in Coevorden. A place that you should not miss is the Van Gogh House in Veenoord, where Vincent van Gogh lived and worked for two months. The end station of this beautiful walk is Emmen-Zuid train station.
Overnight en route
Along the way there are various options to spend the night, but the most special is surely H Design Hotels Kasteel Coevorden. This beautiful castle is located in the center of the old fortified town of Drenthe. Here you can fully recharge before you go hiking again the next day!
