During this multi-day walk of over 168 kilometers you walk from Enschede train station to Emmen-Zuid train station. A great walk through Overijssel and Drenthe, past beautiful sights and through relaxing nature.
From Enschede to Almelo
This multi-day walk starts at Enschede station. From here you walk towards Hengelo through beautiful nature and through small villages. The next destination is Borne. You walk past Tuindorp't Lansink in Hengelo, but also past De Noordmolen in Hof van Twente. Rest at Grand Café De Steeg in Borne and then walk to Almelo.
From Almelo to Emmen
At Blueberry nursery"De Greftenhoeve\\\" you can pick your own berries and enjoy coffee with berry pie at the farm. You will also pass Asparagus Farm Het Nijenhuis, where you can buy fresh asparagus and other regional products in season. Another beautiful sight is the Oelemölle in Hardenberg and Molen De Arend in Coevorden. A place you should not miss is the Van Gogh House in Veenoord, where Vincent van Gogh lived and worked for two months. The end station of this beautiful walk is Emmen-Zuid train station.
Spend the night along the way
There are various options to spend the night along the way, but the most special is H Design Hotels Kasteel Coevorden. This beautiful castle is located in the center of the old Drenthe fortified town. Here you can fully recharge before you go walking again the next day!
