Get a breath of fresh air in the Noordoostpolder

Visiting Urk remains a fun experience. If only because of the special history of this former Zuiderzee island. In the Noordoostpolder it is beautiful to cycle along the IJsselmeer and extensive meadows. You also pass through the Kuinderbos. Enjoy a delicious meal at Restaurant De Kaap and get on your bike full of energy. During the first kilometers you will spend some time on the dike along the IJsselmeer. Get a breath of fresh air while enjoying the sweeping views of the tamed Zuiderzee from the cycle path. The Kuinderbos is the largest and oldest forest in the Noordoostpolder. It is a pleasure to drive through this beautiful and varied nature reserve. You drive back to Urk via the Emmeler Bos and Emmeloord. Thanks to the many beautiful old buildings, the atmosphere of yesteryear still lives on on this former island.
