Zeedijk - 11 Kortestreek

Lemmer had several ramps on which ships could be built. On the Zeedijk in Lemmer you found the slope of the De Boer brothers. The first Lemsteraken, a traditional Frisian sailing ship, were built here at the end of the 19th century. The most famous lemsteraak 'De Groene Draeck' was designed here, but not built. Maintenance of the ships of the Lemster fishing fleet took place on the slopes of the Kortestreek.
