Description
Zandvoort is a characteristically pleasant Dutch seaside resort. Nice to explore by bike. You also take a tour through the dunes and through Haarlem.
South Kennemerland
The route starts at Behind THE Beach Bike Rentals. Rent the bike that suits you here and ride to the boulevard at your leisure. Get a breath of fresh air while looking out at the beach and the North Sea. After a while you reach Bloemendaal aan Zee, after which you enter the dunes and forests of the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park. How wonderfully quiet it is here! You can get off at Landgoed Duin & Kruidberg, where you will find a cozy terrace.
Country estates
You pass the Ruins of Brederode, after which you cycle along the banks of the Spaarne towards the center of Haarlem. In this old city you can enjoy the many historic buildings and the conviviality. You cycle through the villa-rich Aerdenhout, after which you drive through three connected country estates: Leyduin, Woestduin and Vinkenduin. You cycle back to Zandvoort along the Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes. Time for a terrace.
