8. Wide Aa
A recreational lake that was created by sand extraction for the construction of the Aa-landen residential area behind it. The name is derived from the river Aa, of which the Westerveldse Aa is the only remaining piece of open water.

9. Barrier work - Fighting vehicle obstacle or anti-tank wall
In 1939 - 1940, a casemate line was constructed along the Overijsselse Vecht as a deepening of the burg casemate line along the IJssel that was realized in the 1930s. The line was also kept ready by the German occupiers at the end of the Second World War and was even supplemented with two so-called Barriers, one on the southern dike between Langenholte and Brinkhoek and one on the Gennedijk. The opening can be closed with, for example, concrete blocks or steel rails.

10. Memorial stone Thomas a Kempis

12. The New Abandonment
The Het Nieuwe Verlaat lock was built in 1914 at the mouth of the Nieuwe Vecht in the Overijsselse Vecht. The lock is usually open and is only closed at extremely high water levels. This is therefore a so-called turning lock. The oval vortex is now rare.

13. Emmer/ or Herfterzijl
Emmer/ or Herfterzijl was the discharge point of the Emmen mark. The dike is located in the dike of the Nieuwe Vecht near the Nieuwe Verlaat. New masonry has been placed against the old masonry. The year of construction is probably 1769.

This villa functioned as the town hall of the municipality of Zwollekerspel from 1916 to 1967. This remarkable situation, that a municipality has its town hall on the territory of another municipality, only came to an end when the municipality of Zwollerkerspel was dissolved in 1967.

23. GGD building
Office building of the former NV Electriciteits Fabriek IJsselcentrale built in 1939 - 1946. Due to the war, the building was only put into use in 1946. The building was put into use by the German occupiers in 1943 as a Central Distribution Office for foodstuffs. By camouflaging the bronze windows and doors at the front with green paint, they were not removed by the Germans to be melted down into bullets.
