It's like cycling through a postcard. The next stop is Marken. It looks like an open-air museum! But make no mistake; People actually live in those beautiful houses, so please take the residents' privacy into account. Once you have discovered Marken enough, you can board the Marken Express by bike to sail to Volendam. Everyone knows Volendam. Fish, music and traditional costumes. The lesser known sister is Edam. Full of monumental buildings and of course known for the Edam cheese. During this cycle route you will be short on eyes and ears, so who knows, it might be a good idea to book an overnight stay in advance so that you can enjoy all this beauty for a little longer...
