Description

Mol is a pleasant village in the Antwerp Kempen. In the countryside you can cycle beautifully through the varied nature.

Postel Abbey
The route starts in the middle of the woods south of Postel, the town known for its old abbey. It is wonderfully quiet here in this sparsely populated border area. Especially in the vast nature, the inhabited world seems far away. Coniferous trees dominate the view, and you also drive past tufts of heathland and fields. Sometimes you suddenly feel some cooling on your cheeks or arms from a stream that flows next to the cycle path.

Sas4 Tower
After you have driven a bit along the leafy Canal from Bocholt to Herentals, you drive through the special nature of the De Maat reserve. Here you will find a mix of meadows, fens and swamps. At the intersection of canals you pass the Sas4 tower. From the 37 meter high top you have a magnificent view of the surroundings! You will see, among other things, the lakes here that have been formed over the past hundred years by sand mining.
