Sas4-toren

Two canals intersect near this tower: Bocholt-Herentals and Schoten-Kwaadmechelen. That makes the place unique and that is why it was decided to place a watchtower at this point. The Sas4 tower is 37 meters high and you have a beautiful view of the surrounding area. In clear weather you can see for miles. Webcams have been placed at the top of the tower so that people who are less mobile can also admire the view. Also useful if you are afraid of heights, but would still like to see what the surrounding nature looks like from the tower. In the building under the tower you will find a visitor center where you can learn more about the surrounding nature, shipping and the quartz sand extraction in the area. The exhibition in the visitor center is aimed at a wide audience and is told in the most fascinating way possible.
