Wonderful walk in the glory of Beek and Donk

Beek en Donk is a former manor, where numerous historical locations can be found. Just outside the village there is a nice walk along a meandering river. Put on your walking shoes and from Pannenkoekenhuis Pluk you walk north along the Zuid-Willemsvaart. A little further on you cross the water and walk back on the other side of the canal, past Eijckenlust Castle. The facade dates from 1812, but the rest of the current main building was built in 1658. A beautiful spot! In the countryside you cross the Goorloop a few times, a river that meanders beautifully here. When you have finished the walk, you can sit down at the pancake house, where you can enjoy a pancake and a cup of coffee.
