Lovely walk in the glory of Beek en Donk

Beek en Donk is a former seigniory, where numerous historical locations can be found. Just outside the village it is nice to walk along a meandering river. Put on your walking shoes and from Pannenkoekenhuis Pluk you walk north along the Zuid-Willemsvaart. A little further on, you cross the water and walk back on the other side of the canal, past Eijckenlust Castle. The facade dates from 1812, but the rest of the current main building was built in 1658. A nice spot! In the outlying area you cross the Goorloop a few times, a river that meanders nicely here. When you're done with the walk, you can settle down at the pancake house, where you can enjoy a pancake and a cup of coffee.
