It is wonderful to stroll at Voorschoten, across a royal estate and along chic country estates. Here you will feel like royalty for a while!
Berdice country estate
Today you will walk a beautiful route along the'outsides\\\' at Voorschoten. Any businessman had one, maybe even two, some two hundred years ago. Silver magnate Van Kempen had two. Buitenplaats Berdice is on your route. Protectors of the South Holland Landscape are allowed to take a look here.
Royal estate
On the other side of Voorschoten, an avenue with trees on both sides leads to the stately castle Duivenvoorde, where you can walk in the surrounding park or visit the art collection. Huis Ter Horst is nearby. The castle was destroyed in the years 1393 and 1420, now you will find a hunting lodge dating from 1838, which was built by order of Prince Frederik. It is located on the Royal Estate De Horsten, next to the home of Willem-Alexander and Máxima!
