Country estate Berdice
Today you will walk a beautiful route along the'outdoors\\\' near Voorschoten. Any businessman would have had one, maybe even two, about two hundred years ago. Silver magnate Van Kempen had two. Country estate Berdice is located on your route. Protectors of the South Holland Landscape can take a look here.
Royal estate
On the other side of Voorschoten, an avenue with trees on either side leads to the stately Duivenvoorde castle, where you can walk in the surrounding park or visit the art collection. Huis Ter Horst is nearby. The castle was destroyed in the years 1393 and 1420, now you will find a hunting lodge dating from 1838, which was built on behalf of Prince Frederik. It is located on the Royal Estate De Horsten, next to the home of Willem-Alexander and Máxima!
