Cycling through the beautiful countryside of Zevenbergen

Zevenbergen is a charming old town in the northwest of Brabant. In the countryside you cycle through the vast polder and you will find beautiful villages such as Oudenbosch and Hoeven.

Get some fresh air
The route starts at Hotel de Borgh, a comfortable hotel in the historic center of Zevenbergen. After you have grabbed a terrace here, you can drive straight into the countryside. In the northwest of Brabant this means cycling through a landscape of vast grasslands, streams and the river Mark. It's so quiet here. You can get a breath of fresh air on the car-free dikes while enjoying the surroundings.

Haagsedijk
At the Markt in Oudenbosch you can see, among other things, the post office built in 1899. An eye-catcher is the impressive Basilica of Saints Agatha and Barbara from 1880, it is a (smaller) copy of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. In Hoeven you will pass Bovendonk, a former seminary designed by Pierre Cuypers in 1907. You pass the Zwartenbergse Mill, dating from 1889, then you drive along the tree-lined Haagsedijk past alder forests, swamps and hay fields. Wow!
