The Vlietlanden is a never-reclaimed piece of land in the peat area of Midden-Delfland. This walk introduces you to this unique nature reserve.
Tow barge
You can walk straight into the Vlietlanden with its flowery meadows and strips of reed collars. You cross the Vlaardingervaart by boat, after which you walk along a centuries-old towpath along the Noordvliet. You have beautiful views here. You will also experience a wonderfully refreshing silence.
Maasland
Every now and then you pass a farm, it is usually built on a creek ridge. In Maasland you walk through the old village heart. Thanks to the many monumental buildings, you will experience a wonderful historic atmosphere here. The Oude Kerk originally dates from the fourteenth century. You walk along the old towpath along the Zuid- and Oostgaag. On this watercourse you will see, among other things, two eighteenth mills. It's such a beautiful walk here.
