Description
Nature reserve Het Vlasbroek
Koningslust is the starting point of this route. From here you immediately enter the nature reserve Het Vlakbroek. This area is located in the valley of the Everlose Beek and is the habitat of countless bird species and colorful butterflies. To be precise, you can find no less than 64 bird species and 31 butterfly species here. This area used to be connected to the Maas and it is still a relatively wet area today. Part of this walk goes over grass paths that can become muddy. So be prepared for that when you go out here.
On the road with the little ones
This walk is not that long, so this trip is also easy for the youngest. Go out together and make it a treasure hunt to discover the different animals in this area. Along the way you will find a bird observation point where you can stop for a while.
Please note: In this area there are also signs with'Vlakbroekroute\\\'. That is a different route than this one. This route runs entirely via the hiking junction network.
