A day of cycling through Maastricht and surroundings almost feels like riding through Paris. Enjoy the characteristic atmosphere in the old city and the natural beauty along the Maas.
Eyser Meadows
In this nature reserve you drive through a mosaic of grasslands, ponds, willow forests and an old high-stem orchard. Further on you come through the historical heart of Eijsden. What a nice atmosphere! With a ferry you cross the Maas and the border with Belgium. Along the Albert Canal you make a round through Kanne and Lanaken.
Saint Servatius Bridge
Just like good French wine, Maastricht needs no wreath. There are so many beautiful monuments in the beautiful old city that you occasionally have to get off your bike to better absorb the atmosphere. You cross the Maas via the thirteenth-century Sint-Servaasbrug, the oldest bridge in the Netherlands. Cycling along the park-like banks of the Maas, you experience a French atmosphere, especially when people have rolled out a blanket here on sunny days to chill out.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
